Thank you for your continued support.

HollyNew College Uniform - 2015

Please remember to wear your new College uniform on the return back to school on Monday 2 February 2015.

For those students who are in the existing uniform, it is a requirement that you have the new College skort, skirt, pants for girls to wear with your existing polo, and for the boys the new College shorts or trousers.

These items can be purchased at the College Uniform Shop and students are required to wear the College issued uniform.

The College Uniform Shop is also looking for volunteers to assist if you could spare some of your time to help.  Please contact Roz on M: 0416 143 635 or email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

New College Name, Logo and Uniform for 2015

In 2015, significant changes will have been made within the school.  The College will see the transition of year 7 students into the high school environment and the new building program will progressively come online during 2015.  The combination will see our numbers increase to over 1300 students.

As a newly announced Independent Public School we are launching 2015 with a new name (Halls Head College), a new Logo and a new look uniform.

P&C Meeting

The last meeting for the end of school term will be held on Tuesday 2 December at 5.30pm in the school's Administration Conference room.

TAFE Applications

TAFE Applications are now open for 2015.  This will be available until Friday 5 December 2014.

Big Picture

HHCC’s Big Picture Academy is inviting expressions of interest from current year 9 students and their families who may be interested in applying for a place in the Big Picture Program for 2015 and beyond.

Big Picture offers a very personalised approach to education for every student  through interest and project based learning.  We currently have students in our Academy who through our alternative approach, are following pathways into University, apprenticeships and the completion of Certificate III and IV courses in a variety of fields.

For more information please have you son/daughter speak to Brooke Burns or Justine Dunlop or call the school to speak with us more about the program and it’s suitability for your child.

School Ends

The final day for Term 4 will be Thursday 18 December 2014.  Students are expected to be at school on the last day.

Student Smartrider 50 Cent Fare: Conditions of Travel

From time to time, members of the public write to us about incidents where students have chosen not to stand for adults, especially those with particular with needs, when travelling on public transport.

While Transperth is the agency responsible for all bus, train and ferry services in the metropolitan area, we know that many thousands of students use the public transport system each day in school terms. Indeed, they are subsidised to do so through the Student SmartRider 50 cent fare.

You are reminded that when travelling on the Student SmartRider 50 cent fare, you must stand for adults, particularly adults with special needs (eg. seniors, people with disabilities and pregnant women).

There are many people in our community who struggle to stand for long periods when on buses or trains. By offering them your seat you are not only adhering to the conditions of your subsidised 50 cent fare but helping someone in greater need.

Further details of conditions for the Student SmartRider 50 cent fare are on the Transperth website.

Year 7 - Australian School Curriculum 2015

In 2015, Year 7 public school students will move to secondary school and be taught under the new Australian Curriculum.

The Year 7 Australian Curriculum has more in-depth content in each subject and higher expectations about the knowledge and skills that children need so they can succeed in and contribute to our modern world.  Some Western Australian curriculum content that is currently taught in Year 8 will be taught in Year 7 from 2015 in the Australian Curriculum.

Smartrider Cards

Smartrider Cards are available in our 'Student Services Department' for $5.00 per card.  This card is to be utilised in the school Library to enable students to borrow books, use on buses and is a very important source of identification.  If your child has not applied for the Smartrider Card, please do so before school, recess and lunch.

Skateboard and Scooter - reminder

Please be reminded that skateboards and scooters are not allowed at school. If you do bring them to school, then the item will be handed into administration for a parent or guardian to collect.

Thank you for your co-operation.
